Read inside this browser tab. Your file is never uploaded.
The labels update as soon as you paste. Tip: Ctrl+V (⌘+V on a Mac) anywhere on this page works too.
Show the first rows
Swipe the table sideways to see every column.
Arrange the label
Each line here is a line on the label. Click a column name to insert it, or type any text you want printed. A line whose columns are all empty for a row is left out, so the rest close up.
More options
Drawn as vector shapes, never as an image, so edges stay sharp at any print size.
Pick a column that holds a number to print each row that many times.

Labels printing a little off?
First print the blank template on plain paper at actual size and check the usual causes. If every label is off by the same amount, move them back here. A minus sign moves left or up. Saved in this browser for this sheet.

The layout has no columns in it, so every label is the same. The starting number fills the rest of one sheet.
In the print dialog choose Actual size (100%). “Fit to page” shrinks the sheet and pushes every label off its cut. The PDF asks your viewer for actual size, but check before you print a full run.

Geometry source: LibreOffice label database, Avery Letter Size 5163 (2 x 5, 4.1875in x 2in pitch) (labels.xml). Avery 8163, Avery 5263, Avery 5963, Avery 8463 have identical measurements, so a PDF made for one prints on the others.
Check the fit before you print on labels. Print the blank template on plain paper, hold it against a sheet of Avery 5163 up to the light, and check the boxes land on the cuts. Worth doing with any template on any printer: paper size, driver margins and scaling all shift a sheet. It matters more here: these measurements come from an open label-template database and are checked arithmetically on every build, and the same database reproduces this site’s paper-verified Avery 5160 layout exactly, but Avery 5163 itself has not yet been measured against real stock.

What is Avery 5163 used for?
Avery 5163 is for parcels. At two by four inches it is large enough to carry a full delivery address at a size a courier can read at a glance, with room left over for a reference number, an order ID, or a barcode.
Where a 5160 forces you to abbreviate, a 5163 lets you print the sender and the recipient on the same label with space between them.
Can I print barcodes on Avery 5163?
Yes, and Avery 5163 has room for them: barcode mode puts a tall symbol above three lines of text in two inches of height, and four inches of width means the bars can be wide. QR codes work too, as a square on the left of the label with the text beside it.
Bar width is the thing that decides whether a printed barcode scans. A symbol squeezed onto a small label has narrow bars that ordinary printer tolerances can smear together; the same symbol on a 5163 has bars roughly half again as wide, with margin to spare.
How do I print Avery 5163 labels from a spreadsheet?
To print Avery 5163 labels, add your order export in the tool on this page, check the address layout it builds, and if you need a barcode, pick the column to encode under More options. Ten to a sheet means a fifty-parcel day is five sheets.
The barcode is drawn as vector rectangles, one per bar, rather than as an embedded image. Bar edges stay exactly where the geometry puts them regardless of print resolution, which is not true of a rasterized barcode.
What does ten labels per sheet mean for Avery 5163?
An Avery 5163 sheet is ten labels laid out two across and five down, covering 80 of the page's 93.5 square inches, so little of the sheet is waste. For shipping work that is a convenient batch size: a sheet is a run, and a part-used sheet is easy to account for.
If each parcel needs more room than two by four inches, the six-up 5164 covers the same 80 square inches in six larger labels, the same four inches wide and three and a third tall.
The trade-off is that a misfeed costs more. Ten large labels is a lot of stock to lose to a skewed sheet, so it is worth feeding these one at a time rather than loading a stack, and worth running the plain-paper alignment check before the first real sheet of a session.
